Walk Edgeworth Church, Gloucester Beeches, Hen Wood, Dorvel Wood, Limbrick’s Farm, Vellatts, Sudgrove. This route may be shortened depending on conditions, daylight! Picnic lunch with possibility of a drink after the walk.

A visit to The Elgar Birthplace Museum now taken over by the National Trust and modernised. Includes the video of his life and works, Visitor Centre, English Cottage Garden, The Firs, Elgar’s Birthplace, his study and the Sound garden. Picnic or lunch at the Café. 2 mile walk in Broadheath.

Great Witcombe’s Grand Roman Villa - 26/11/2017 0900

A moderate walk mostly gradual. Some steep but short climbs. From the car park proceed to Cooper’s Hill, follow the Cotswold Way towards Birdlip and Barrow Wake before descending to Great Witcombe, Witcombe Reservoir and the Roman Villa. Several possibilities for shorter walks. Picnic lunch.

We catch the 0805 train from Ashchurch to Birmingham University,to walk into the city along the canal for shopping. Scatter lunch. pre-concert talk on ’ Beethoven’s Pastoral Symphony at 1300 and concert starts at 1415 . Time for a cup of tea before catching the 1730 train from New Street to Ashchurch. Note; This Concert is fully booked. Ring David for future concerts.

A choice of two walks on Bredon Hill starting from Overbury. Longer walk via Overbury Park, Sundial Farm and Parsons Folly, down the Wychavon Way , along permissive footpath. Pigeon Lane back to cars..Shorter walk: through Overbury Park along the Belt down to Sharloon Farm and back via Pigeon Lane to cars. Picnic lunch on both walks. Tea and mince pies at Linda’s after walks.

Carol Service at Severn Stoke Church - 16/12/2017

A invite for a carol service and two walks have been offered from Malvern Hills District Footpath Society. The carol service starts at 3.15pm. The two walks are from Severn Stoke, the long walk starts 09.45 am and will be about 10 miles whilst the shorter walk will start about midday and be 5 miles. Both walks start from Severn Stoke village hall car park .Please book for tea.
